The garden is located in the heart of Chichester in Canon Lane off South Street with good views of the nearby cathedral. The site is bounded on the south by the City Walls (a scheduled monument of national importance).  The north east of the site forms a boundary with the Bishop’s private gardens and includes part of a Tudor wall.
