As a family owned and run business we pride ourselves on having an engaged team that creates a warm, friendly, welcoming and caring hotel that provides guests with happy and relaxed experiences.
We ensure we provide the perfect home from home experience to every one of our guests. Bosham is a beautiful picturesque village on the quayside of Chichester Harbour and the Millstream is set in its own private grounds, just a five-minute walk from the quayside. The hotel is situated in a peaceful environment that is predominately popular with leisure guests that are out to enjoy themselves without a rush.
The Millstream has strong staff retention with many team members having been at the property for a number of years. There is an element of international staff from a variety of countries that bring a wealth of experience into their roles.
We pride ourselves on a quality offering and as of July 2022, are ranked on TripAdvisor as the 8th best hotel in West Sussex out of 103 hotels. We get many positive TripAdvisor reviews naming staff personally of which we are extremely proud of.
The hotel comprises of the following areas of the business.
- The Millstream Restaurant. A two Rosette fine dining restaurant that serves lunch, dinner and afternoon tea, specialising in modern British cuisine.
- Marwick’s Brasserie. A more informal dining experience offering some traditional favourites in a contemporary setting, with alfresco dining in the summer.
- Kitchen. Head chef Neil and his team cater for both restaurants, lounge food and provide fresh daily items for our deli shop, Pop-in. The kitchen brigade have the opportunity to work on all elements of the dining experience.
- Front of House. We pride ourselves on personal service at reception welcoming guests, assisting their requirements and seating them in the lounge and restaurant as required. We also have a lounge bar.
- Back of house. Roles include operations, finance, HR and revenue. Many of our team members have been in our back of house positions for many years and ensure they contribute to the successful running of the hotel behind the scenes.
- Housekeeping. With 35 bedrooms and 3 apartments our housekeeping team keep all guest rooms spotlessly clean and take pride in maintaining our quality of product.
- Pop-in shop. An exciting new venture launched in early 2019 was our new deli shop in Bosham, just a five-minute walk from the hotel and serving the finest coffee! There is the opportunity for team members to help in the running of Pop-in.
- Shoreside Cafe. A waterside café was acquired and opened in early 2020 under the new name Shoreside. Located just a 5 minute walk from the hotel it serves a selection of light bites, cakes and savoury items.
