Our First Floor Suite is a beautifully appointed guest room that was unveiled in April 2023. It features a separate lounge, dining area and double-aspect views of our gardens.
The bathroom offers a walk-in shower, separate bath and Molton Brown toiletries. The bedroom is light and airy and includes a king size mattress. The suite is ideal for a celebratory stay or an extended break, with the benefit of an allocated parking space in our car park.

Most of our Premium bedrooms overlook the front garden whilst a few do not but are larger in size. All Premium rooms offer Hypnos beds, luxury linen, bathrobes and slippers, safe, mini fridge, Freeview TV, hairdryer, ironing facilities, Nespresso coffee machine with capsules and telephone. Maximum occupancy is 2 guests. Twin beds can be selected on the checkout page when booking online.

Our Classic bedrooms are perfect for a short stay. They overlook the back of the hotel and some are over the kitchen. Shrove Tuesday
Welcome to our first Millstream blog!
For this blog we have teamed up with our head chef, Neil Hiskey. Neil has created a seasonal theme and focussed on Shrove Tuesday (13th February) and shared his own Crepes Suzettes recipe.
Shrove Tuesday is the day in February or March immediately preceding Ash Wednesday. It is traditionally known as the last day of indulgence before the fasting period of Lent. Shrove Tuesday and the tradition of pancakes gives observers the last day of eating richer, fatty foods before the ritual fasting of such foods for 40 days, which begins on Ash Wednesday.
Neil has put together his favourite pancake recipe for you to try at home.
Pancake ingredients
- 55g melted butter
- 2 eggs
- 25g sugar
- 200g flour
- 375ml milk
- Pinch of salt
Method
Mix the warm melted butter with the flour, sugar, salt and eggs. Slowly add the milk and pass.
Sauce ingredients
- 600ml orange juice
- Zest of 4 oranges
- Zest and juice of 2 lemons
- 4 tablespoons sugar
- 10 tablespoons Grand Marnier
- 200g butter
Method
Mix together apart from the butter. Reduce by half and whisk in the butter to thicken the sauce, pass.
Neil’s top tip:
Prepare the sauce first and once the sauce is made, it can be left to one side whilst you cook the pancakes. Once the pancakes are done, warm up the sauce and pour over a pancake that’s been folded into quarters. Serve with good vanilla ice cream for the prefect finish.

DELUXE BEDROOMS
Our deluxe bedrooms have all recently been refurbished and many have new bathrooms or wet rooms. Some overlook the front garden or are on the ground floor with French doors leading to a private garden area. Some overlook the back of the hotel but are very spacious. All have Nespresso coffee machines. Our accesible room is one of our deluxe rooms – it is spacious in size and has a large wetroom but does not have a garden view.
